"OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZED BY THE ILLINOIS FILM OFFICE" in 1991 the Chicago Talent Directory® has been used by the Illinois Film Office and the Chicago Film Office to attract productions to our city and state. Our print editions were distributed by the commissions at Location Expos in Hollywood giving coastal talent buyers and casting personnel their first ‘in hand’ collective look at Chicago talent.

Established in 1985 and distributed in print editions, the Chicago Talent Directory® has been dedicated to promoting Chicago area and State of Illinois talent to talent buyers and casting personnel, locally and across the United States and is relaunching in a searchable digital platform!

The Chicago Talent Directory® is a ‘profile listing service’ for Chicago & Illinois area talent. It includes self-editable portfolio profiles for ACTORS, VOICEOVERS, MODELS AND ENTERTAINERS and information on services that talent require for their profession such as schools and photographers as well as lists of local agents and casting directors.
Chicago Talent ‘Spotlight’ magazine is the ‘promotional and training’ arm of the Chicago Talent Directory®. It focuses on the accomplishments of our talent clients and reports on their bookings and other achievements as they progress in their career. Read widely by the Chicago talent community, it also boasts articles that aid talent in pursuing their careers, many written by and about key, high profile industry personnel.
The Chicago Talent Directory® has also been host to many seminars and panels that discuss and train talent on how to market themselves in this highly competitive field, the most influential having been the “Progress Forums”, where union and film office executives, talent, and production professionals met to discuss the future of our local industry, particularly how to attract productions to our city and keep our exceptional talent here.
The Chicago Talent Directory® is being updated as a digital resource to better serve local actors, voiceovers, models, entertainers, talent-related services, talent buyers, and casting professionals seeking verified Chicago and Illinois talent.
